Mexico ~ Mayan Riviera, Playa del Carmen, Cozumel

Christmas break just isn't Christmas break without some sun, and this year we decided to head south to Mexico to soak up some rays! Not going to lie though, it was more difficult to get to Mexico than it was when I forgot to purchase my Vietnam Visa when flying to Asia.

I was stopped by our airline officials and not allowed to board the plane due to having a flimsy and used passport, which they claimed as damaged! Literally, I was turned away, and without any help from the airline, I had to purchase a new emergency passport, and re-route my trip. It was super frustrating, but all the frustration finally left when I stepped foot on Mexican ground!

We spent most our time at Bluebay Resort, in the Mayan Riviera, but also headed over to Cozumel (passing by Playa del Carmen) to do a two-tank dive. After all, Cozumel has the second largest reef in the world! I spotted my first shark, at 90 feet :) How exciting!

Snow good to be home!

This Christmas break, I headed east to visit my amazing family in Ontario! As you saw from my earlier post, we have a new puppy in the family. Even though we have a new addition, it still didn't make my family complete, as we were short one sibling again this year. Mark is touring through Europe with Cirque du Soleil. He was really missed this year! The time at home is always valued as it is great to catch up with relatives and friends, and so nice to see some snow!

A night up at the cottage :) I love seeing the lake frozen!!

Team Europe! Reunited!!

Homemade soup and board games!

Grandma and Opa :)
