Matt Kennedy Workshop - Adam + Kayla

Have you guys heard of Matt Kennedy? I'd be surprised if you haven't, but if not, let me begin by telling you how AWESOME he is! Matt is a photographer in the Vancouver, B.C area who is just amazingly talented! I saw that he was offering mentoring sessions and looking for couples and photographers to join him in mini-sessions in the Vancouver area. Of course, I had to jump on this, and since I have the world's best boyfriend, who is always willing to do pretty much anything photography related, I signed him up too! For once, it was our turn to be in front of the camera.

One thing I love about Matt is that he shares the same philosophy with me, in that a couples session can be for anyone, whether your dating, engaged, married, or married with kids. There's nothing more amazing than having some photos up on your wall, and I am so thankful for doing this, even happier that I made a friend out of our session!

For our whole session by Matt, you can go here!!!

West Vancouver Family Photography - Darby Family

A couple months ago, I held a contest on my instagram. Individuals had to upload a photo which represented love to them. My grand winner was Miss Jane Darby who uploaded a beautiful photo of her and her sisters. In the end, Jane won a photo session, which we met up for on Wednesday night!

This family is so special, and the longer I have been out west, the more they feel like family to me. As the two oldest are off to College, it was so nice to be able to capture some photos of family all together before school starts!

North Vancouver Wedding - Tara + Steve

Last Saturday, I was invited to shoot Tara and Steve's backyard wedding in North Vancouver. It was so nice being welcomed by their beautiful family, who I grew to love in an instant. There is something so romantic about having a small wedding with just those close to you, come take a sneak peak at this beautiful, intimate celebration.

Tara met Steve when she started working for him five years ago as a landscaper during her summer months off from teaching. She then started tutoring his three daughters. It was at that point that Steve fell hard. The two developed a strong friendship, but Steve's persitstance led them to start dating. Tara fell in love from there and the rest was history!
